TOEFL is available in Nepal as an Internet Based Test (iBT). The iBT TOEFL consists of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The cost for iBT TOEFL is $165. When you register for the TOEFL, you can choose to report your scores to four colleges or universities free of cost.

If English is your second (or third or fourth) language? If it’s anything but not your first, then you may have to take the TOEFL to get into university in the United States. The TOEFL is an English language test that shows you have the language skills to succeed in college.

What is TOEFL Test?

TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language is an English Proficiency test, conducted to evaluate the English speaking and understanding ability of a candidate. TOEFL is accepted as proof of English proficiency in 9,000 colleges, universities and organizations and other TOEFL participating institutes across 130 countries in the World.  TOEFL is conducted more than 50 times a year by Educational Testing Service (ETS) – a US-based non-profit organisation.

 TOEFL Test Pattern?

TOEFL has essentially two versions: TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test) and TOEFL PBT (paper-based test). Both the versions of TOEFL have four sections- Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing. The test takes about 4 hours to complete. Candidates can retake the TOEFL test as many times as they wish. 

TOEFL Test Registration?

While there are four ways to get TOEFL Registration -Online, by mail, by phone and in person - a majority of candidates apply for TOEFL online.

TOEFL Test Score System?

The TOEFL score requirements are set by individual educational institutions. The total TOEFL test score is between 0–120. TOEFL results are valid for two years after the test and there is no limit to the number of times you can take the test. TOEFL test scores are posted online within 2 weeks of the test date.

TOEFL Scholarship?

TOEFL scholarship is awarded for achieving academic excellence and demonstrating English communication proficiency. Test takers from Mainland China, India,Nepal, Japan, Korea or Taiwan are eligible for the TOEFL scholarship. 

Cost of TOEFL: The current fee for TOEFL registration is $170.
